My guess is that MS could quite easily add mouse support if they wanted to (or simply add a patch on the C&C disc)

I think you are missing peoples points.
The complaint is not that its unaffordable (although it will be for many) the point is that relative to what it is capable of and relative to its rivals, its way overpriced.
In terms of bang for buck, its the least by a good bit of the three.
Remember, even compared to 360 at launch its expensive, but when the ps3 launches, the 360 will be quite a bit cheaper and will have a vastly bigger catalogue of games.

Whats an extra few hundred pounds when you can get 5 years of paying £50 for games and missing out on exclusives on the 360 and wii.

Wow. Sony are in trouble. I will be getting a wii to go along with my 360. But who will get a ps3 when they can get a 360 AND a wii for the same price??
This will place nintendo in second place with sony the loser this time round!

Warcraft 2 was great as was red alert and RA2.
I would love it on the '360 but ONLY if MS build in mouse/keyboard fuctionality. Or even just mouse.

Bethesda have treated us well until now. I don't know what they are up to with this, but it makes me angry.
I agree that if we got something more substantial like a sidequest, then 200 points is cool. But this is just terrible. A small bit of code is gonna make them a fortune!

Graphics matter because they are part of the gameplay. Games are a primarily visual medium. How the story and the interaction play out is through the graphics.
And yes there is a wow factor when you see some games; and, like a well-presented meal, its all part of the experience of gaming.

To sum-up: The elderscrolls 4: Oblivion. Mmmmmm.

I think Bethesda have shown the right way to delay a game.
Rather than keeping gamers in the dark, they have been open and honest. I'm glad they only gave us a date once they knew they had gone gold.
Theres nothing worse than a stream of delays when the developers knew they would never hit their own targets. (Zelda anyone?)
