@JIAGPOS That's because the Gamerscore is just that, score. The PS3 is planning on making use of the trophy system for PlayStation Rewards quests.

Good news, now they'll never release PSN in the Philippines now.

They launched the PS3 and the PSP-3K here last March. They would give out the PSPGo but that requires a PSN connection (and a credit card valid somewhere but here). Of course, you won't need that now that you can pirate all the ISOs yourself!

Just when they're finally about to launch PSN in the Philippines where I live, (they already have it across most of Southeast Asia), this happens. No profit in launching a service that nobody's gonna use because it's cheaper to pirate the games (free if you know enough to DIY) than buy them legally, so don't launch it at all.

Worse yet, the people that are forced to make an account in two regions - one to buy PSN cards from Region 1, and another to enable online access to certain games from Region 3, who have been waiting for a local PSN will end up resorting to piracy anyway. Everyone loses.

Don't give me that bullshit about how it's "not going to enable piracy" just because they said so. Sooner or later, one of them will find a way.

@aughscreennames Maybe not in America, but it will become rampant enough in countries like the Philippines where I live that Sony will reconsider their plans to expand the PSN here.

You tell 'em. Rehashed maps are free (for those that bought the game new) and not $15 (because it's an extra $10 for those that didn't).
