Here's my beef. I like CoD. They are good games. Lots of fun. But they release a new one every year. As soon as that happens thousands of people jump ship to the new iteration, and they all but stop support for the previous title.
Then you can look at Halo, the battlefield franchise, and TF2. Those IP's have maintained robust offerings while keeping the same platform.
Like I said, I like CoD. I just wish they would slow down long enough for us to actually play and enjoy the game. At this point, if you've spent $105 on CoD, don't you want that gameplay experience to last longer than one year?
@styleznma Maybe, but the thing is, people pay it. So until consumers start speaking with their wallets, it's going to be $15 a pop for every map pack.
I was reading that site for the past few days. Most of the info seems legit, so I hope both LulzSec and Anon are taught a lesson in humility and international law.
It looks like the "leader" of LulzSec is a douche-bag webmaster from Canada. A 34 year old douche-bag. I don't know why I find that so surprising. Being only 2 years younger than him I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around his immaturity, arrogance, and self-entitled behavior. I guess we will have to wait and see how this pans out, but it's not looking good for LulzSec.
It also appears some sites that Anon maintains are being attacked at the moment as well. Looks like there is some pretty heavy retaliation going on from multiple groups.
He's a passionate guy, I'll give him that. And while I enjoy his games, they aren't worth the price of entry. But more to my point, can't he just let Fable die? He's got to have some better ideas in the head of his, right?
I'm still a fan of having physical disks. Granted I like steam, and use it often, especially when I can grab something on sale. But I like having a physical copy, on hand.
ALL of you fanatics, not just the console ones, need to be taken out back and put out of your misery. This is what you choose to argue about? Pathetic. You guys give ALL gamers a bad name.
I just can't justify the price, even at $7.50. I don't care If I make that much the first 15 min I'm at work, I'm tired of being nickel and dimmed by XBL and DLC. It's BS I have to spend $60 on a game that has sold what, 2 million copies or something ludicrous like that, and then turn around and pay them even more for some recycled maps?
