Reminds me of when I was queuing behind a couple of guys from Rare who were playing Soul Calibur 2 at the EA stand at ECTS 2003 (what used to be the European equivalent of E3). At least it was the Xbox version.
It'll still be Square Enix. This isn't a merger (like Square & Enix, and Activision & Vivendi Games), but a buyout. Until the end of last year Eidos was just a brand for SCi who previously bought the company, and I expect Eidos to simply be a Square Enix brand for the company's Western games (e.g. those made by IOI and Eidos' other studios)
I think Crystal Dynamics were working on other non-Tomb Raider titles, and that the people working on these (or at least some of) have lost their jobs - hence CD will focus all remaining staff on Tomb Raider games.
The thing to note here is that these guys, while four independent companies, will effectively act together; Activision and Vivendi will soon be one company, while LucasArts and id Software have publishing agreements with Activision. Thus it may just take one leaving to trigger them all going.
It's out in the UK, but can be hard to get hold of. I picked it up at lunchtime on release day (Friday), but a housemate of mine couldn't get it three hours later, and hasn't been able to do so since either.
However, I'm finding the game a lot of fun with the Wiimote + Nunchuck combination, and it's certainly making up for some of the failings of Double Dash.
Is 300lbs (or about 136kg) really an issue? I mean, anyone over that weight, of any height, is clearly obese at the very least, so surely this won't affect the vast majority of people? Or have things really got that bad in the US?
