I buy from Chinese suppliers every day, I have never heard of any "Euro Only Policy" with any trade agreement I have created. On top of that, the website clearly lists USD1000 as the price, which pretty much clears up the confusion on what the trade currency will be.
On top of this, we are talking about Hong Kong, which isn't a traditional Chinese supplier, but in fact, one of the best trade cities in the world. People don't worry about currency fluctuation for a one time buy, the only time a strong currency is needed (US is still considered very strong throughout the world) is when an agreement goes over a year or so.
Sorry to rant, but it really erks me when people spread misconceptions about Chinese business practices. Joe, I gotta feeling that you are the inspiration for the UPS commercial where the guy can't find China on the map.
I will take a more expensive cell phone plan if I also get free heath care. I'm sure Rogers has larger operating expenses having to cover a larger area with less people, people with beady eyes and flappy heads.
