I grew up playing Street Fighter. I was a bit young when the arcade scene popped out ( i was about 5 ) but I still played in arcades. I remember playing samurai warriors in this outside arcade somewhere in god knows NJ. I never liked the Mortal Kombat series because they looked too real.
Street Fighter, of course, was always my favorite. Between being cheap and using Blanca's body shock to Chunli's upside down helicopter like kicks (yes i dont know the names but i know the button config), it passed me through an amazing childhood until Sonic, Chrono Trigger, Mario RPG, and Super Smash Bros came and swept me all through elementary.
I've had almost every copy of the street fighter, snk, and marvel/xmen combinations of these fighters. And i will tell you this, if you don't f'ing understand what is so great about a 2d 4 frame rate game coming out for the xbox 360 for $5-10, you are a friggin loser. You lucked out on the good years of gaming and the peak of actual gaming skill (no modding or cheats, just plain skill and technique). Fighters were what brought out the competitiveness in gamers. They were the FPS of the past generation of gaming.
Yes, I have waited for 3-4 months waiting for this game and I will wait 3 years for this game to come out for me to pay $5 to play it.
Name another fighter currently out for the 360 that will substitute for SF...i imagine theres none because the other is just bs.
