I play a pc game, very much a virtual item. I'm with Beau Hindman on this. Bought all the expansions and lifetime sub for LOTRO. I'd say thats about €300. Would have paid more for the amount of entertainment I got out of it. (pssst, don't tell them!)
Can't wait for yet another update to this fantastic game :-D RoI was the best selling expansion so far, and the server population is more than healthy, no worries my fellow commenter ;-)
Its great that Turbine keeps on par with technology and innovations from other games, and meanwhile keeps brining new interesting stuff to the table! (and before you start wondering: F2P conversion, Skirmishes, Session play, Monster play, Outfit system)
Good think they revamp the currencies after a few years, they know what instance people like, and what people run just for gains/hour, and now they try to give people more flexibility! Wasn't this the podcast where we could leave or response to 4 years of Massively.com? Anyway, I like the fact that Massively always had the community aspect. Although I'm not active in the forums, I just feel like I'm connected to Massively, reading the articles and listening to the podcast knowing features like In-game Guilds, choose my adventure, Massively-Forums. When I link to articles, and receive links to massively articles via online-games, it just feels like we're all "Connected" :-)
Great changes imho, more freedom to play the way you like for the RK!! I love the concept of the heal/dps class, Turbine worked it out very well! As for the hunter, I think most hunters are already using all stances.. those pesky traits are the problem, being able to 'save sets' and change them on the fly, that would be nice!
On the first day of giveaways, Turbine gave to me... [Updated]
