I had a dream that I was in an abandoned custom motorcycle shop with my future daughter in law, and after talked to a strange guy that appeared out of nowhere, I looked to my right and there was a table of gadgets.
And on that table was the Dreamcast 2. I asked him how he got it. Then I woke up.
@benheck I loved Funcoland!!!!!! I remember having the greatest time hanging out there. I was number#1 in line for the dreamcast on 9/9/99. I saved up my hard earned money to buy that thing! 199.99 was such a freaking fantastic price for a new system.
I remember playing Warhawk for the first time and was completely blown away by the 3D graphics and the sense of movement.
I was completely addicted to twisted metal. I spent more hours honing my skills as in Gran Turismo than I'd like to admit. I swear it taught me how to take corners in real life.
Playstation 1 probably was the biggest event in gaming in my life. Even though the step up from NES to Genesis/Snes was pretty huge too. I remember seeing Donkey Kong Country and was like whattttt??!?!?!
I am a playstation fan mainly because every system has been amazing, PS1, PS2, and PS3 have all been just awesome gaming experiences. The controller is basically perfect, the systems have a great track record for minimal repairs, and they had the games that I wanted. But then again, I've always owned at least two consoles.
Though, when the Dreamcast came out, I was very very occupied with that and leaned towards the Sega side when all the PS2 fanboys felt threatened. I just have a soft spot for Sega! They had some really risky but creative games come out on their platform.
Now don't even ask me to explain pspgo's pricing strategy. Insanity.
I can't wait for Jaffes new Twisted Metal and finally Duke Nukem FOrever is coming out! Nerdgasm!!!!!
well i just have to say that I have been playing risk longer than the coffee shop that I used to play at in middle and high school has been around. It has been closed for years.
