Cabela's Survival: Shadows of Katmai opens up its manly heart

@Negatron You got a fire and snow and you're drinking piss? Did you down two bottles of vodka before this trip, have holes in your liver, and want to recycle that alcohol?

InfiniTV 4 quad CableCARD tuner is shipping

@joboehl You give the cable companies too much credit. The FCC regulation body forced the cable companies to offer cable cards. Otherwise, the cable companies are more than happy to collect your rental fees on set top boxes.

If history is any indication, any new features after launch will require a new phone purchase to obtain, be it a point release or even a service pack.

Meet the cast of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Jun 18th 2010 11:14AM (Joystiq)
Watching the trailer, at least two of the boss monsters have breasts. And then there are the NPCs. This may be the most breast-centric castlevania yet. Must have something to do with Belmont's shaggy long hair and stubble.

Google changes Nexus One plans, will stop selling handsets online

May 14th 2010 7:35PM (Engadget)
I suspect T-Mobile has a superphone coming up (HTC Desire perhaps), hence no reason for anyone to buy the Nexus One. I'm on T-mobile and the Nexus One is not for me because:
1) Costs $100 more for current customers. Price is steep compared to other carriers and T-mobile itself, with offerings of comparable phones for $99 or Two for One.
2) Subsidized version can't be used with my family plan.

HDHomeRun CableCARD will feature three tuners in time for the holidays

@billobob Biggest issue for me is overloading the NIC port. If one's HTPC is used as file sharing, 3 channels on HDHR cablecard, and 2 channels on original HDHR, that is a lot of traffic over the wire. I'm sure gigabit can handle it, but getting the NIC to handle that may require tweaking (if possible) and more CPU load.

Sure, one can buy another NIC, but that is an extra cost and available slots are a premium these days. I suppose the extra NIC can go into the slot previously reserved for the Ceton...

This is absolutely true in the same way that the iPad is a Kindle killer for people who don't like to read.
