How would you change HTC's EVO 4G?

@HGD To be fair, I really like this idea.

@TheSmartGuy Why would we need to move it from NT4, it works just fine?

@Kidicon God I hope not, it's still up for dead in 2014, and MS has made a real effort to kill it with MEDV.

@pintonion Check out the MDOP. It'll get you AppV and MEDV for relatively cheap. We're in a similar boat, but haven't found a single app that one of these two doesn't fix.

This is downgrade rights only, likely targeting the POS/ATM market. With extended support only running through 2014, expect XP to be nearly dead by then. Any IT manager still running XP in 2014 better brush up their resume. The support costs alone, even when mitigated with a solid locked down XP image, are going to be staggering.

Blockbuster avoids bankruptcy for now, but not NYSE delisting

@dark star Whoops, I was wrong. Average Americans watch 153 hours of TV a month. That's crazy, but if Comcast pushed it too 500 GB, that'd be reasonable. Shame that Netflix/Hulu can't do any sort of QOS relative to a users remaining quota.

@dark star Umm that's 146 hours of HD Netflix streaming a month. How much TV do you watch?

@jckchn I dunno, the Evo doesn't really stand out when you compare it with the Desire, Incredible, Nexus and even the HD2 on a hardware basis. It's all variations on the same theme.

At least Motorola's been a bit better with Droid. You've got the Droid, Droid X, and Droid 2. That are all at least distinct phones.

@truthiness Not true. There is no way for AT&T to tell the difference between Exchange ActiveSync w/ Direct Push (2003 terms) and normal SSL traffic. This isn't like blackberry where there is a separate network (BES) that you need access to. That's the beauty of EAS, you're dependent only on your local IT department.
