Breakfast Topic: Uh, now what?
Oct 29th 2008 3:56AM (WoW)While my phrasing was decidedly bad, I never said you were a whiner or meant to imply that. I think that people who enjoyed the event versus those who didn't receive their in-game satisfaction in different ways. Some folks appreciate the game as a means of delivering a story and are along for whatever that entails by the tellers of the story (Blizzard). Some are more invested in the economy or leveling goals or gear goals. With a healthy mix of people playing for social aspects, and people playing for an equal mix of all three. A massive, and intentionally interruptive zombie plague doesn't really do anything for folks not invested in the story, and may not even satisfy everyone playing for story. And if you're not willing to roll with it and dick around for a few hours of play time, then so be it.
As of now it's a moot point, and while no event will ever please all of the folks playing, maybe the next one will come closer for those who felt put off by this last one.
