Oval racing can actually be extremely fun and intense if it is represented properly (i.e. the old Papyrus NASCAR Racing series, the NASCAR Heat series, or the Dirt Track Racing series...). It only is extremely boring if it's represented poorly (i.e. Forza, Gran Turismo excluding GT5, EA's own NASCAR games since the 2005 edition...).

Hopefully this will end up being in the same camp as Papyrus's old games, as Eutechnyx is not a company I would expect to make a bad racing game if the excellent Ferrari Challenge is their usual forte. If not... well since crap-NASCAR games have been churned out at a steady rate since 2006 I won't be too shocked.

Having most likely been one of the few people on here who has played this masterpiece, the chance to finally own it without shelling out a couple hundred dollars is making me salivate profusely.

A revolver, plenty of ammunition, plenty of food, my minuscule DVD collection, a portable DVD player, a portable generator, and my plush Tails toy (what? I'm going to need something to comfort me in space while escaping an alien invasion...).

Au contraire. I have played every single Ace Combat game at least once, and own every single one except for Advance, Zero, and Six. I'm fully aware of all the crazy superweapons and such that are featured in the games, thus it seems you misunderstood my comment there.

Making an Ace Combat that is set in the real world just seems rather... oddball to me. The whole fictional world thing has worked out well so far and really helps set the Ace Combat games apart from other arcade flight games, so I don't really see why they need to bring this one into the real world. It just doesn't seem right.
