Sep 28th 2010 11:25AM (TUAW.com)This is a poor knockoff of Spotify Social and it shows. I've used Ping and it brings absolutely nothing new.

iPhone headed for T-Mobile USA in Q3?
Jul 21st 2010 5:13PM (Engadget)iPhone 4 (and beyond) is coming to T-Mobile UK, but they haven't announced their pricing or shipping yet unlike the other networks over here.
If it's appearing in the UK on T-Mobile as well as elsewhere, then I don't see why it can't appear on T-Mobile USA. It would also mean that they don't need to make a CDMA iPhone which would likely be much more pleasing to Apple, as it keeps their manufacturing costs down and they don't need to build a separate version of the same device for CDMA networks.
Apple to give away free cases to iPhone 4 users
Jul 16th 2010 1:59PM (Engadget)I was prepared to give Apple a chance here and would likely have bought an iPhone 4 if they fixed the problems properly. A free case isn't good enough for me, I shouldn't have to use extra accessories in order to make the phone work correctly. My dad has a Blackberry Bold 9700 and guess what? Works great, Steve is talking crap.
No thanks, Apple. I'm not a bitter fanboy - I'm a consumer making informed, pragmatic decisions and this product doesn't hold up to scrutiny along with Apple's attitude to its customers. I know of cheaper alternatives I consider to be better and I'll seriously consider those instead.
I think it may be for the best if Steve Jobs retires within the next few years in a dignified fashion instead of being fired; he's quite clearly losing it, especially with regards to the e-mails he sends out and some of Apple's other recent design decisions (a new tablet which is a giant iPod, the i7 Macbook Pro which gets dangerously hot because of its styling etc.) and the fact that he is becoming too easy a target. If he continues on his current path then he'll just poison the brand and likely end up getting ousted again.
What is this tiny Apple touchscreen that just leaked in Taiwan?
Jul 9th 2010 1:42PM (Engadget)That said, it seems kind of pointless - why put a touch screen on for the sake of it when the buttons have worked fine for years? What benefits does it bring?

Jul 4th 2010 1:15PM (Engadget)But is it, though? I only know five people who own them and they're quick to point out its shortcomings despite being avid Apple users.
It's like the rest of the iPlatform - Apple come up with the original idea, make it all shiny but close it to the masses. Somebody comes along and assembles a similar but far more open and versatile knockoff and the cycle continues. iPad will soon be eclipsed by superior alternatives, I reckon.
