Fanswag: Castlevania Judgment

Jan 15th 2009 2:22PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Aria of Sorrow, play as the reincarnated dracula.
That was just such a cool thing back then. Plus they were in the future for once.
Then Dawn of Sorrow came out with the funky kiddy friendly anime look and kinda lost some of its seriousness.
Though still a good game, gameplay wise.

Heres hoping they use the refound dark look in Ecclisia to make a third entry of the future of Soma.
Maybe something a little deeper and complicated.
Heck, maybe go even further in the future.
Fight dracula with a lazer whip? Heck ya!

PETA Flash game puts us off Cooking Mama, food

I don't get it. They say the game is evil and animal killing, but the game they made does the actual animal killing.
I thought they were against animal cruelty not for it.
They do seem to have enjoyed making this bloody animal abusing game.
Hypocrites.
Though Peta is enjoyably insane.
Though that game is a little too bloody for even me.
And I enjoy a good House of the Dead in monochrome red.

Castlevania Judgment launch trailer is too effective

Do want.
This is looking pretty good
Course I love all kinda of fighting games.
Good Castlevania song remix though.
Hmm, I thought soma and the like would be in it too?
Maybe as secret charecters? I forgot where I heard that from though.

Godzirra for the win!

Born for Wii: Jet Set Radio

Sep 9th 2008 2:22PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I agree with it, though a classic controller setup would be nice too.
I have the first game for the dreamcast but I've always wanted to try the Jet Set Radio Future game.
I'd love to see a two pack released from Sega.
Would be an easy port and graphics are artistic as it is and don't need improving. Though some effects would be nice.

A full out Wii sequel would be nice though. I have more faith in it not being complete suck as Sonic Team won't be working on it. Plus the game is mostly about the music. Also theres really not much to do to update it. Colorfull graphics on the Wii isn't hard to do plus maybe some bigger more open areas and some more tricks to do.
Multiplayer is a must plus SD card image uploading would be great.
Though trading online would make Nintendo angry. "A circle with a dot in the middle? PORN!" However it would be one of the greatest games ever made on the Wii in a heart beat.
Would also encourage some awsome graffiti modded Wiis.

Definitly one of my favorite DC games. I really hope to see some more of it.

Wii Loop Machine turns to TV millionaires for funding, fails [Update 1]

Homebrew anyone?
Its alot cheaper than Nintendo's larger development costs.
Way WAY cheaper.

I don't think he needs all that money to make a good product.

Go with the homebrew scene tools and make a finished product. Then try to sell that to a publisher.
Sometimes that actually works.
Plus you don't have to break the bank either.

Just a bit of Wii modding needed for testing.

Born for Wii: Rogue Squadron

Also surprised they haven't done this yet.
Seemed like a tradition forming with the N64 and Gamecube versions having been made right out and all.
Would think the Wii would get a paper airplane control style one.

Also Star Wars appeals to the casual gamers too. So it's probly due to copyright issues and the like.

Wii Warm Up: Top or bottom?

Aug 19th 2008 1:28PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I keep mine under the screen as I'm usually too close to use it properly on top.
Honestly though, I'd rather have two just to cover all angles.
Considering all I need is atleast two IR lights, some wires, and a power source, its really not that hard.
Though they don't look all that nice taped to the sides of a TV or laptop screen. Still works though.

Wii Fanboy poll: Watch any DVDs on your Wii?

Aug 15th 2008 6:53PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I've played two DVDs on mine so far.
Sonic Anime (the old origonal one, non of that new age crying crap)
and Weird Al's UHF movie.
I figured older DVDs would be best just incase. Though overall its been rather smooth, well UHF was off synch by a millisecond or two and the Sonic Anime seemed a bit choppy in some parts, but barely noticable.

I play to only use this new feature rarely. I dont want to risk burning on the laser in the drive. Though I beleive its only possible if you use it rather frequently.

For me, its perfect.
It skips the annoying menu screens and goes straight to playing the videos.
Now any time I'm at a family get together or just watching my little cousins I can pop in a DVD without the hassle of finding a DVD player.

Eventually the player will get better.

Though what Im most interested in is the emulators.
Cause now I can burn a disc of a full set of old 16-bit and lower games and play every game right off the bat without filling my SD card. Saving its space for more songs for ExciteTruck.
Or ofcourse more homebrew.
