Orcs Must Die review: Building a better Orc trap

Oct 10th 2011 8:55AM (Joystiq)
@R Planteer

There are already a couple of DD reviews out there. They came out in June. The game has been waiting that long for it's release date.

Orcs Must Die! on Oct. 5 for XBLA, Oct. 12 for PC

@stiqlol

Like @Acosta02 said, it doesn't have co-op. So I'll love them both for different reasons.

Orcs Must Die! on Oct. 5 for XBLA, Oct. 12 for PC

The Microsoft published game managed to squirm in before the disturbingly similar TrendyEnt game, Dungeon Defenders which has been waiting much longer for a date. Why am I not surprised? Only 2 weeks separate the two titles. Good for me, since I plan to get them both, but the conspiracy theorist in me can't help but to groan a bit.

Monday Night Combat update allows you to ride a giant chicken

So, was the 360 version just a springboard to get them where they really wanted to be? It's pretty crappy that we haven't heard anything concerning updates to the XBLA version since the Steam version became available.

I would LOVE to get in on the beta action! :)

Verizon crushes AT&T on iPad entry-level data rates

An important detail is omitted here. Verizon will charge a $35 activation fee when you first sign up, and when you drop coverage and come back. AT&T activation fee? $0. Decision made.

Joe Danger joined by new downloadable characters

I wanted to buy this game, but I don't play my PS3 enough to warrant it. If it ever goes XBLA, though, it's mine.

I will not get one until they move past that ugly grey-scale button colors idea.

Xbox Live Fall Dashboard update coming November 1

Oct 31st 2010 3:25PM (Joystiq)
@Cal Me too. Except for a different reason. I signed up soon after the beta process started. Got accepted in. Then I got my friends to sign up. They got in. Then the beta started and I was greeted by an email telling me that, "Oops! We have too many people, you won't be part of the beta"

I've never been more fired up at Microsoft for something. Not only did I not get in (not such a big deal), and not only did people that signed up much later than me still get in, but I also went to the trouble to make sure my friends and I would still be able to communicate during the beta. And then we couldn't.

Microsoft screws up way too often.

PSA: Xbox 360 fall update preview is live

Sep 29th 2010 10:42PM (Joystiq)
I got accepted into the beta, but got an email today that too many people had gotten in, so "unfortunately", I had been cut. Way to keep it classy, Microsoft. Obviously, I'm still pretty miffed. Especially since after I got in, I went to all my friends and got them to join too, so we could continue using voice chat. Now not only am I out, not only are they in, but now we can't voice chat.

This is without a doubt the worst job Microsoft has ever done running a beta. Go back to the old system of waiting to tell people they got in, close the beta before it fills up, or deal with the consequences of letting in too many people.
