If you Youtube it, you'll instantly know who they are.
Well, perhaps you might need to have been a part of the generation that watched Hackers, but either way, I had no idea who they were until I looked it up and now it's pretty much an instant buy. Never knew that was them.
The SNES version had a more SCUMMy adventure feel to it. Wandering around, searching for clues, shooting pursuing baddies and what have you. A lot of fun just playing through the story.
The Genesis version was way different, but excelled in areas the SNES one didn't. For example, I think I got to the Native American caves and stopped story progression there. But I had to have spent like 30 hours just hacking the Matrix and upgrading my deck to get better at hacking the Matrix.
If the SNES had the optional stuff that the Genesis had, to the degree of awesome the Genesis had, the SNES would definitely be the greatest Shadowrun video game ever made, possibly ever to be made.
...fuck, I want to go home and play Shadowrun now!
I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with shoddy developers and everything to do with a huge workload, hard deadline and probably understaffed, if not under-experienced, engineers.
While people are working on those, other people fixed these.
There is little reason to hold up a bunch of little fixes (especially ones effecting class balance) for the big ones when the big ones aren't done yet.
Back your save files up in the meantime. I was the victim of a multiplayer character loss bug, but I had my SaveData folder backed up, so I replaced it and was restored to where I was before the loss happened.
The code for each version is not the same, even if similar. In addition, every change needs testing to make sure it 1) works and 2) didn't break anything else. Considering some fundamental scripts were probably altered, give it a bit more time.
The PC version will get its fixes probably within 2-3 business days at max. I'd be really surprised at the PC team if it took longer.

Gran Turismo 5 cost roughly $60 million to develop
Nov 5th 2009 5:18PM (Joystiq)I might buy GT5 simply just to support the studio. This is one hell of a labor of love to come up to $60m.
Hope my GT4 cars can be imported to GT5, because as Bill Paxton once said, "...the 'vette gets 'em wet." And I'm inclined to agree.

Miyamoto: Next Zelda will use MotionPlus for more realistic swordplay
Nov 3rd 2009 7:38PM (Joystiq)No "Oh we should make it a Wii game with motion controls!"
Otherwise I will mail anthrax to Japan. (We're past that whole "OMFG did he say 'mail anthrax'?! Call the police!" irrationality, right?)

Players do have some workarounds in the meantime.
