Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Han Tao -- in 3D!

Apr 30th 2009 6:25AM (Joystiq)
I believe you need a TV with a refresh rate of 120 Hz because it works by alternating between the frame for left eye and the frame for right eye which is why it appears 3d. I could be completely wrong though.

Upcoming PAIN expansion features wedgies, aliens and Trophies

Apr 26th 2009 6:41PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Pain is one of only two ps3 purchases I have regretted (the other being star wars: the force unleashed). It was fun for like 10 minutes and then i had no incentive to ever touch it again.

PSA: Busting caps in Saints Row 2 just got a lot cheaper

Feb 24th 2009 4:27PM (Joystiq Playstation)
I to just got this on ebay last week for $30 used, so I don't feel like I got too bad of a deal but new and Collector's edition would have been worth it for $5. I bought Bioshock at full price as well only to have it drop down two weeks later.

This game is really fun though I can't decide if I like it better then GTA or not, if anyone is on the fence about it I would suggest getting it, especially at this price.

Philosony: You can listen, but you can't HEAR Big Daddy

Feb 1st 2009 4:46PM (Joystiq Playstation)
When I played Bioshock I always saved the little sisters. I also didn't know that I would get rewarded for doing so. I never told myself, "OK, I'm going to save all of them", I just figured I'd make my decision when I got there, and I always saved them. I plan to play the game again and harvest all of them just to see how it changes the game.

Oh, and goodbye I've always enjoyed your article and I'll be sure to check out your new blog.

Philosony: Home from the holidays

Jan 17th 2009 1:11PM (Joystiq Playstation)
I found home pretty boring at first. One day I decided to make an Asian and European PSN account to see how their home was different. In the European home I was talking to someone said I was American, then some other guy came over trying to incite the whole ignorant American thing. I surprised him by not being an egocentric idiot. We ended up having a very enjoyable conversation on politics which a few other people joined. I made three friends I added to my friends list, but I haven't spoken to them since because I never really use my Euro account.

Mirror's Edge demo now includes Time Trial Mode

Dec 17th 2008 7:58PM (Joystiq Playstation)
This is actually one of my favorite games ever. It's the first PS3 game where I really had any desire to attempt getting a platinum trophy. I picked it up used for $40, and it was definitely worth it. I played through once on regular difficulty just doing whatever, then on easy to get some more trophies, then on hard to get that trophy. After this it was time to start speed runs and time trials which took up a lot more time. It sounds repetitive, but I enjoyed finding better, faster ways of moving through a course. This adds up to over 30 hours of gameplay for me. Though I really enjoyed the demo, I must have played through that over 20 times (I usually don't play demos more then once) so if you really enjoy the demo then go pick this up.

No hard drive installation for Killzone 2

Nov 26th 2008 1:47PM (Joystiq Playstation)
I would rather it be optional as well. I have a 320 GB hard drive, I would install the whole game if I could.
