This is the problem with everyone running articles like this. Kid Icarus had as much chance of being a Wii game as it did being a PC game: zero chance!!

Yet, everyone has leaped to the conclusion: "it should have stayed on the Wii! why did they move it to 3DS!? rarr!"

... I mean, based on the interview, the Wii was even more of an afterthought than the PC!! Oh no! Looks like Nintendo games almost went to the PC market!! CONCLUSION LEAPED!!

This shows us ... nothing.

We are now dumber having read it.

Which is exactly how it should be for franchises that start on a given platform!

Other franchises have tried to "upgrade" by making the HD version the lead and abandoning the horse they rode in on. HD gamers don't care about family-friendly former Wii exclusives and the Wii gamers don't want to buy an inferior version.

... thus, the franchise ends.

Disney/Junction Point/etc are actually being smart here. Cultivate the fanbase you established early on, and if the HD whores need the extra pixels you can sell them a Wii port at a discounted price ($50).

I see the PSN/XBL logos but no NWC logo. That doesn't mean the Wii version had the online removed does it? For some reason I feel that the NWC logo doesn't usually make an appearance even when there is online.

Anyone got CONFIRMED info on the Wii version's online?
