Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor uses Xbox 360 controller and Kinect simultaneously
Aug 16th 2011 6:35PM (Joystiq)The trailer specifically states that the U.N. is behind the invasion. I don't think that commie vs demo has anything to do with it at this point. It might later, but you really shouldn't rant until more info is released.
Devil May Cry trailer and screens show off Ninja Theory's spin
Aug 16th 2011 6:27PM (Joystiq)You didn't play on anything past "human" difficulty did you.
Or you're trolling in which case you get 3/10 stars. That's not bad.

Aug 16th 2011 6:21PM (Joystiq)I had supposed you meant to imply that Bayonetta was DMC5, which I would actually like to think it is.
Devil May Cry trailer and screens show off Ninja Theory's spin
Aug 16th 2011 6:19PM (Joystiq)The gameplay is not the same as the old DMCs from looking at these trailers. Heck, I just booted up DMC3 PC and DMC4 PC to see if there's a difference. There is one, and it's BIG.
Of course, the final product may be different than what the trailer depicts so we'll leave it at that.
Devil May Cry trailer and screens show off Ninja Theory's spin
Aug 16th 2011 6:16PM (Joystiq)Actually, there appears to be a huge difference between the older DMCs and this one in terms of combat. Older DMCs have attacks that usually cover front and one side for standard combos, and a special combo may cover all sides, but will leave the player wholly vulnerable after completion.
In this trailer it seems like Dante is "safe" in most of his attacks. The blade moves extremely fast and it moves in wide arcs leaving most sides covered. The directionality seems to only occur when the player executes a powerful attack.
Additionally, the emphasis on air combos leaves the player in "safety" for extended periods of time. In older DMCs air time was limited by your combos (unless you were extremely skilled) and as a result you had to rely on "unsafe" ground combos. The lack of safety was what distinguished DMC from God of War and I'd hate to see that go.
Of course all these things may just be visual flairs and may not count towards the hitbox, but I'll have to play the game first to see it. Also, the gun and Devil-bringer-esque wire is kinda cool.
Battlefield 3 info onslaught begins with Game Informer cover
Feb 4th 2011 5:23AM (Joystiq)OH GOD WHAT?
He already knows its for the PS3, that's why he brought it up. I remember the old days when "consoles" were called "computers." You know, like the FAMICOM (family computer). Actually, no, I don't REMEMBER those days, but I know they existed. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what he said.

Dec 15th 2010 1:20PM (Joystiq)Do you mean for the Windows Phone? I ask that because the kit is already available for Windows. You might even be using your Windows PC for the creation of those iOS games.

Dec 15th 2010 1:14PM (Joystiq)Gran Turismo 5 ships 5.5 million worldwide
Dec 10th 2010 12:08PM (Joystiq)The number shipped IS the number sold for Sony. When a retailer buys a game, Sony makes money. When you buy a game, Sony doesn't make money, but the retailer may be inclined to buy more from Sony. These numbers are not meant to appease fans and say, "WOW! our game is really popular!" they're supposed to tell investors that the product was sold successfully.
