@Xero Theory I'm in the beta and can confirm you are 100% correct. Videos dont do it justice. And this new area is kinda pointless to get excited about...cuz it really is just new new textures and monsters. It LOOKS cool..but thats all. Without new skills/gear/story, its just textures really

Another good example is Assasin's Creed 2 on consoles vs PC. the fields of grass pop-up is insane. every console game has this problem. console exclusives are hard to attack cuz theres no PC version to compare them to..but Killzone 3, Uncharted, ect..all those "Top looking" console games have low resolution textures due to low ram and video memory, they ALL have streaming texture issues for the same reasons+ "slow" video cards. Console games DO look bad compared to games MADE for PC. SAdly most PC games are crappy console ports (hence why people say consoles are holding devs back). This phrase really made me laugh "yet developers are still wowing players with amazing visuals." The only players that get wowed by "amazing visuals" on consoles are people with either bad computers, or ONLY play consoles. Us people who run BF3 on high/ultra, Crysis 2 high texture pack, ect...we're not wowed at all..we're disappointed but we know consoles have limits due to not being upgradable.

Too bad the creator is an ignorant jerk. Told Japanese devs that all their games "suck" as if it was a fact. I can list just as many great Japanese games as I can western games, in terms of sales numbers even. Seems like all these "awards" got to his head. fez looks pretty boring to me. like a been there and done that title. not impressive at all, especially for 5 years

@(Unverified) dragon age 2 was legitly bad compared to the first.....insult ot the name. have you placed the old republic? its just another MMO with star wars characters. the quests are funny/cool for a few hours but after that u just wanna skip all the talking and level up. it gets old fast

I really dont see why people think this game has such a great story. 2010's Infinite Space is one example of a very similiar story of bad ass aliens coming and no one listneing to the hero when he says they need to work together to defeat them. Though that only really has one ending, the big plot is very similiar...and it was mostly sampled from an old science fiction book. Seriously, there's dozens of science fiction stories JUST LIKE this one. The game is fun sure, but the story isnt unique. Well, the game is fun for some people. ME2 was the most overrated game of the year when it came out..everyone gave it 10/10 and such when the first 4-6 hours were "go to planet, recruit, go to other planet, recruit other, go to 3rd planet, recruit jack" i got bored of the linear maps, repeated objectives, and non-rpg gameplay and quit there for a good year. it got a little better but even the gameplay wasnt anything special. third person shooter with better (though not unique) story than most other tps.

@Special Agent Steve Too bad there's nothing wrong with Origin at all. Most people have zero issues and millions of people are playing BF3 on Origin this very minute. Not sure what your bias is for. both steam and origin are great services. Steam just has more games because it came out first...but Origin downloads 3 times faster for everyone I asked, and uses less ram (ram not really an issue for most PC gamers tho).


Honestly, this valve box seem spretty pointless. with the specs it has it will be pretty expensive..I could build a system that does the same thing for what they're most likely gonna charge for it. 100% sure of this..because intel i7s are not cheap at all. custom PCs will always be the best option to play PC games
