I would say the Type-Moon universe, but then I played Battle Moon Wars, which was everything I hoped it would be and more.

I'd love to see a Magical Girl fighting game. Nanoha Takamachi, Fate Testarossa, Cardcaptor Sakura, Yue Ayase, Prism Illya, Black Rock Shooter, and the entire cast of Madoka. Secret Characters: Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro, Haruna (Kore wa Zombie).

Oh, and the final boss has to be Chise from Saikano.

I see VG Cats is still desperately trying to stay relevant.
