I agree. People should be educated before they vote. The problem with some of these nonpartisan voter registration programs is they don't care about educating people, just getting them registered. Because if they dare mention any one candidate's positions on an issue, they (in their eyes) become partisan.
I think step one should be educating, step two registration. Unfortunately, a lot of these organizations think step one is registering, and there is no step two.
Poke, you knocked it out of the park. If you need some guy to "inform" you to vote, you shouldn't be voting in the first place.
When I was in school, I volunteered a little for a nonpartisan voter registration drive, until it dawned on me that this was stupid. There were so many people who didn't have the first clue about anything, who didn't even know who was running (not even joking) for president less than 3 months before the election. Frankly, those types are better off staying at home on election day.
I would like to see more and more young people voting, but that's on us to get off our asses and learn for ourselves.
Agreed. While Halo 3 had some nice extra features, it in no way innovated the actual gameplay experience. In that sense, SMG was more innovative, but I would have given this award to Portal hands down.
