I still the remember the sound of the falls rushing so powerfully down the river. The mist in the air that it caused. It's amazing. Not overrated at all.
Not to mention, it's close to the boarder for a lot of people. So there's a lot of Americans I imagine who want something closer to home.

They boast about the biggest Masquerade in Canada? What BS. There were just as much, if not less, Masquerade contestants at FanExpo this year than there were at AN.

I agree that she's not being selfish. I'm 20 years old, and I don't really have a huge desire to have children either. It wasn't negative I don't think, she was just explaining the reasons she wouldn't want them. And honestly, a lot of those are the same reasons I couldn't handle it. In fact I know my life would be changed completely forever, in a way I wouldn't want. It's just not something I'm willing to risk and having a child is a decision that someone needs to make without any doubt in their mind. (Well, reasonable doubts are understandable but, my doubts are big)
There's a small part of me that wants to warmth of holding her own child, but I've got two wonderful little ten year old cousins that I take care of now and again. I don't mind dealing with their messes and occasional fits but I definitely wouldn't be able to deal with it day in and day out! It's just not for me. :)

I've had two rabbits of my own in my life time. The first one I got died within a week, since she wasn't looked after properly at the store. Then a second, brown dwarf rabbit, lasted for about three years. He was THE sweetest thing ever. I actually trained him to kiss my nose if I asked him too. My sister one as well, she's still alive today, about six years old I think now. She was rather aggressive for the most part, but I think something switched in her head in her old age since she's just fine now.
As far as pets for kids go, I think Rats are better. They're less aggressive, they're more playful, easier to clean up since they don't have that disgusting creamy pee. (that's one thing no one seems to mention either, Rabbits have some of the most disgusting pee in the world) I know rats are considered 'disgusting' but, honestly, they're pretty clean. Though I love both animals a lot. :)

When I saw the title I was thinking skinny, and uncomfortable as well. But you're right, these are the same kind of shoes I wore growing up. They were comfortable, they weren't elevated that high, and I could still run in them perfectly fine. I didn't wear them every day, but still.

The rant about barbies was rather off putting. It's more about her opinion on everything than giving information on the shoes.

I think EVERY electronic device has to be multi functional these days, they'll probably add a phone to the DS eventually.
I must be a purist too, because I agree with everything you said.

Though I don't think I'll be buying it unless mine breaks.
