Rock Band Weekly: Steve Miller Band, Rob Zombie, Godsmack and more

Jan 20th 2009 7:33PM (Joystiq Xbox)
I can do it myself, and I know of several ways of doing it. But it would be easier for me if links were included - and may encourage me to try bands / songs I've never heard of. And the Wii sister site is doing it that way now...

...so here's hoping we get that over here too. And that someone is doing it that has a financial stake in selling songs and not the fine folks running this site.

Rock Band Weekly: Steve Miller Band, Rob Zombie, Godsmack and more

If RB2 would send links to the music videos or clips of the songs with these press release announcements it'd make it easier for me to get excited. I don't know half those bands and half the bands I do know I don't know those songs. But I'm in for the SMB pack and the Belly song.

Ask X3F: Heart healthy edition

I've heard of people intentionally damaging their XBox when it was coming up against the warranty window, finding ways to make it get the RROD. I wonder if that has anything to do with MS being even MORE generous with their returns. Why not look like good guys and repair a few units that actually break than have to report additional RROD issues and get stuck fixing some that may never have encountered the issue.

That is hilariously original. Thanks for sharing that unique and new gem with us.

Rock Band could be a good karaoke game if it tried - and I hope it does. I had people over during the holidays who liked the game but could only find one or two tracks that appealed to them - I'd like it if they added more vocal-centric songs like these. And for the love of god please add an option to embiggen the lyrics.

As someone who has never played the gamed I've got to say I'm baffled and intrigued by your description.

Wii Warm Up: Super Obsolete Bros.?

I like to buy some games just to avoid grabbing discs - lazy and sad but true. Being able to flip from game to game without shuffling discs is great. I won't pay $12 for it, but for $10 I might consider deleting something... and I will resist the urge to begin a storage solution rant.

Ninja Blade demo to land on Japanese XBLM soon

One of the reasons I bought a 360 was that I was getting sick of being treated like a second class consumer by Nintendo. Please don't start doing this a lot MS.

FanPoll'08: XBLA Game of the Year

Castle Crashers will be on the list - this is just a small problem to work out. It will be looked into in the coming months, will take a while to get fixed, and then the review committee will take a look at it. Expect the Castle Crashers for Game of Year patch to hit XB360Fanboy in 6-9 months.

CMT: Roy Orbison is ready to rock Rock band

Dec 24th 2008 10:06AM (Joystiq Xbox)
@Marky Mark...

Muse, really? Swear to God I pulled them up on YouTube and the first song I found (displayed proudly on their official YouTube page) was Starlight. Falsetto singing over piano. Rockin'!

If rock lives and that's what it has come to, then kill it with fire, now!

/The Stokes are great though. I like rock and am not a big country fan - but the good time rock attitude has definitely gone. Most acts these days seem like a bad parody of the old grunge acts, all whiny and wimpy and no fun at all.
