PAX 2008 hands-on: WipEout HD

Blizzard's cinematics are always top notch, looking forward to seeing this one.

Of course Debt of Honor (1994) featured a Japanese airliner crashing into the US Capitol building...

"Bad analyst using SDF tomfoolery!"

It's hardly the analyst's fault that most reading the analysis are idiots.

Far Crysis: PCs will weep at Far Cry 2's system reqs

Of course the textures are pre-rendered, as they are in almost all modern games.

.kkrieger is an example of a first-person shooter that uses procedurally generated textures. The entire game is less than 100k in size, but requires a reasonably modern system to run. Have at it: http://www.theprodukkt.com/kkrieger

"Doom3 was burried so fast people forgot to care about it. ID is not the studio they once were."

Odd that neither sales nor critical reception at the time actually bear this statement out.

Are you seriously suggesting that id should use procedurally generated textures in Rage?
