12 Days of Joyswag: Batman: Arkham City game, controller, shirt

You know, I actually did once. He chose "Danse Macabre" by Saint-Saens, and it turns out that he's not that great a dancer. Take it from me, a cloven hoof on the foot is NOT the way to get a kiss at the end of the evening.

12 Days of Joyswag: Halo: Reach hair clippers, briefcase, book ... oh, and game

For me, it's always been the music, especially the little tidbits like the "Siege of Madrigal" track I found tagged on the end of my Halo soundtrack. (Through conversations I've had with other purchasers, this was not a universal thing.)

I love the music in this series. I think the high point for me was Super Metroid and listening to the Maridia theme music. When they worked that theme into the underwater portion of Metroid Prime: Echoes, I was a happy gamer.

Odd. I don't recall having internet. Oh, well. I guess this gives me a reason to put down Halo for awhile.

Metareview - Max Payne (the movie)

Citizen Kane, this movie ain't. Nor is the The Seventh Seal, Schindler's List, or any of the other movies that critics will hail as masterpieces. It's simply a shoot-em-up flick that's actually pretty fun as long as you're not trying to glean the meaning of life out of it.

From here, the examples of "art" on our walls lean mostly towards the "outdoorsy" genre. These include a couple original prints, one of a black lab in the bow of a duck boat, the other of a collage of hunting and fishing licenses and supplies. The most wallspace, however, is dedicated to a pair of bear hides. Other such pieces of "art" exist in the basement in the form of bear skulls and a couple alligator heads.
