Aug 21st 2011 2:03AM (Joystiq)The main difference I see is that SC2 has a much longer history of professional casting along with much money in the system.
Valve kickstarting DotA 2 esports with so much cash is a great idea. If they can get casters and events on the same level as SC2 can pull in they have a good chance of becoming a real esports force.
(for the record I prefer pro SC2, but I'm excited to see what can happen with DotA 2)
