Buckle up for some more GT5 screenshots
Oct 6th 2009 12:03AM (Joystiq Playstation)The difference between the GT5P and F3 screenshots/cars is night and day. Anyone who claims this is only because we are 'fanboys' is a deluded fool. LOOK MAN with your own eyes.
.Car Models are much much better (more realistic and detailed) on GT5
.Lighting (on track and ESP on car) is more natural/beautiful on GT5
.Environments are more naturally coloured and lit on GT5 with less 'jaggy' look
.In Car view is close to PhotoRealâ„¢ on GT5 yet looks like a cartoon on F3
There are quite a few other observations that make GT5 'look' better than F3 but I'll stop there.

Aug 9th 2009 7:35AM (Joystiq)Do not buy into the hype for this game, I would say wait for reviews but we all know reviews were 10/10 last time cos most were paid to hype it up... worst 'best' game ever!

Jul 30th 2009 6:58AM (Joystiq Playstation)Kim: Microsoft treating Natal launch like a new console
Jun 17th 2009 5:49AM (Joystiq)I'm an older gamer and I've own hardware from all of the big 3 during my time.
My 360 died (of course) and I was bitter, and since moved on to a pleasent life on the PS3.
None of these systems are perfect.
If 'natal' ends up as a POS then sobeit, wait and see... it's better than stagnation an taking no risks (for any company).. even if they are playing catch up with the wii.
And I for one would welcome some Wii-like control but with graphics on my HDTV that don't make me puke (i.e min 720p), also of importance is the fact that my previous 'favourite' company (Nintendo) have lost the plot entirely when it comes to making games for the *GAMERS* who put them where they are...
All those casual players and fitness freak moms are buying wii and then.. leaving it to gather dust. The DS is full of shovelware (with some great games too I admit - I've owned 4 DS's over time and 4 GBA/Sps before that).
Nintendo are missing the point with GAMES. MS and Sony still understand what great games for 'normal' gameplayers can be but are lacking the gimmicks that Nintendo have to jump into that lucrative 'I know nothing about games but this wii console will make me fit' market.
In other words all 3 companies are flawed, we all know this, they all have strengths too and this 'copying' from each other is a GOOD thing for gamers not bad so why do so many people see it as negative? That can only be about fanboyism.
The copying is in effect 3 great brains working together to make each console the best it can be and should be welcomed. This gen has been a bit of a mess for me personally... very transitionary. NEXT GEN is where all the kinks will have been sorted out and projects like the above are all part of that development process.
Sure a lot of ideas crash and burn but I'm sure as shit glad these people try things out or we'd all still be playing Atari VCS.
