the GOTY edition is just an advertising ploy.

There are many GOTY editions as many different magazines/blogs give GOTY (Such as IGN, Joystiq, EGM, GI, etc)

Not only that, but they could be specifing GOTY in their genre, such as L4D is a survival/horror genre, while LBP is Platformer, which could expand the chances of a GOTY edition

Such games like CoD4, I think Fallout 3, L4D, now LBP, Obivion, have done this for 2 reasons.

1) It makes it look like it is more special

2) For all of us who don't have an online service to buy DLC(Or choose not to) can wait for the creators to just bundle the DLC to a game(Such as Fallout or CoD)

That's basically it, just advertising

now if only Freelancer, X-com, and X-Wing went free....

I think game companies are finally realizing that games that don't sell anymore should go free.

I mean Rockstar is doing it, Tribes 1 and 2 went free, MW4 is going free, and now Bethesda is free. This just shows they love their fans.

So what does that make CoD2 and CoD2:Big Red one (Seeing as one was PC/360, and other was GC,PS2,Xbox) seeing as they are both made by different developers, and both are not an expansion of one another(That would mean CoD2:BRO, should of came out on the PC/360) Wouldn't that actually make BRO CoD 3? Thus making CoD4:MW actually CoD 5, and CoD:WaW CoD 6(ya, I added a number I don't care)? Making the painful CoD 3 actually CoD 4....

This seems to be very similar(The cosmic part as well) to a english DS game called Tornado....

How can they even do a TWEWY 2? The first one was just so epic. I mean it is like Skies of Arcadia epic(You don't want a sequel killing the epic sauce do you?)
