I really like Ubisoft's franchises but I can't begin to explain how betrayed I am feeling right now. I am a legitimate customer who buys their games for the PC because I have no console. I highly enjoy their PC experience compared to the efforts of other game publishers who create multi-platform titles because they actually do put in the time for tuning the control schemes.

I was patient enough to wait for Assassin's Creed 2's delayed release onto the PC platform. I was understanding enough to accept their price tag increase considering that they had included all of the additional content that was released on consoles as DLC.


But this new DRM scheme really breaks my heart. I really want to support the amazing development team at Ubisoft Montreal with my purchase, but they're giving me more reason to pirate this game than anything.

There goes my hope for Ubisoft to come to its senses.

What's the problem with wanting to play games on PC? Enlighten me.

It's a shame: the UK already has a few studios which have proven that the country does have a quality talent pool, but if their government isn't willing to support it then it'll be sapped by other foreign studios.
