I have to have my Nerf-type case on at all times. With four kids you never know what's gonna happen. I hate the new colors that Nerf put out, so i found my wife and I solid color ones on Ebay. Search for DS Nerf Armor and you'll find the off brand good ones I use.
Have to have a screen protector too. I also only like to use the nintendo branded styli (styluses) for the non sctratchability issues.

The best thing I have ever gotten is a Nerf type case for my DS! I can actually hold it now without any hands strain after ten minutes with the dinky thing. Oh and it's protective. I HATE the new neon colors that Nerf put out, but I found solid color ones on EBAY. Search DS nerf Armor and you'll find 'em. That and the screen protector to keep the stylus from sratching up the touchscreen. Love it.
