How many oldschool adventure games have you seen lately? How many retro turn-based RPGs based on 25 year old titles have you seen lately?

Now, how many shooters have you seen lately? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see a hardcore tactical shooter too. But the hunger may not be there, because there are already plenty of shooters around.

It's my new favourite trend in gaming. It gives the core of serious gamers the chance to commission the types of games they actually want to play in an industry driven by huge profits and increasingly dominated by consolized, dumbed-down, casual titles.
