Er.. Damn right, I'd like one of these.

Boot Camp updated: now supports Windows 7

Jan 20th 2010 12:44AM (TUAW.com)
Yeah, but does this solve the problem of installing 64-bit Windows 7 on certain Macs? No, it doesn't.

I'd like to be able to install 64-bit Windows 7 on my 2007 64-bit Macbook Pro, Apple.. Thanks for still not letting me do that.

Doubtless, they'd prefer that I buy a new machine.

'Five minutes of silence for Haiti' goes viral on Facebook... and fails on so many levels

Jan 18th 2010 11:21PM (Download Squad)
You may not agree, but as good as donating is... Awareness is better.

Go ahead, and ask how many people on Facebook know where Haiti is?

Get off your f*cking soapbox, and give some credit. There are a lot of people using Facebook that don't know what computer they own, let alone what's happening in Haiti.

Relic teases Homeworld 3 development

Nov 25th 2008 12:27AM (Joystiq)
OMG, so looking forward to this one. Homeworld was the game that totally blew me away on my friend's Geforce 256.

Gotta be one of the best series ever.. Certainly, Relic has done a good job of proving they can put out a quality product.

This'll be on my list sometime after Starcraft 2 and DoW 2, assuming I ever get tired of Fallout.

Funcom confirms Age of Conan layoffs

Nov 25th 2008 12:06AM (Joystiq)
Hrm.. Maybe they can put some effort back into the sequel to Dreamfall then. IMO, it's looking like a bad decision to bet the farm on the sweet (yet unproven) lure of monthly revenues when they already had a market ready to buy into the Longest Journey series.

Sometimes, companies should stick with what they know. That's certainly a philosophy that's worked for Blizzard.

I'm gonna have to go with that awesome ranged sword attack from Zelda. You really felt that when you had to walk up to monsters to hit them.

Back To School: Mac research tools

The combination of Scrivener, Bookends and Mellel is absolutely brilliant.

Mellel certainly deserves a mention, as it makes citation an absolute breeze. I got it in a Mac software bundle the year before starting school, and have been glad ever since.

So much for national loyalty: only three percent of Canadians used a BlackBerry last year

Jul 4th 2006 4:57PM (BBHub)
I agree with nofx. Canadian carriers charge much higher rates for data and/or Blackberry service. There may be proportionately more business users in general south of the border, but carriers here haven't done much to appeal to non-corporate blackberry use.

Seems that they don't expect the average consumer to care about wireless email.
