It has nothing to do with the underdog effect. Sony has always been very permissive on their systems. That's one of the main reason why the PS1 and PS2 got all the content they had.

And seriously, underdog? Sony and Microsoft aren't miles away from each others in sales, about 3M. Considering that the PS3 came out a year after the 360, I wouldn't even call the PS3 an underdog.

This is supposed to be a reboot, right? Then where the hell is Liu Kang?

You clearly didn't watch the video, and heard the comments.
The FFB on that thing is much better than the one found on the G25 or G27. Darin compared it to the ones found in the high end, much more expensive Frex and ECCIs. The wheel also has 1080 degree rotation (that's 3 full turns), unlike the 900 degree (2 and a half turns ) from the Logitechs.

In any case, one would wonder why you'd spread misinformation like this. You clearly didn't listen to anything Darin said in that video.

The G27's FFB is weak, the gears are made of plastic and if you put the FFB at 10 in Gran Turismo 5, you'll understand how toy-ish it actually feels ( when you hear the "crackling" sound).

This wheel may not be for you, because of its price, but that doesn't mean you should downplay it with bullcrap like you did there.

In-engine may not be in-game, but they're still not CGI.

Naughty Dog has been using that method to keep their games' visual consistence. They're also using this method to free memory and make the loading seem as minimal as possible (as in: non-existent). Everything is still rendered by the game engine.

Naughty Dog confirmed that the trailer was entirely made of in-engine+gameplay footage.

Just like it has always been for all their Uncharted games, btw. ^_-
