CCP design EVE so that a player needs to use multiple accounts (subscriptions). I consider that pay-to-win and think that it massively unbalances the game. It also holds back technical development.

I agree with most of your points but I've been playing every day the last few weeks and I haven't experienced the bugs you mention.

I agree. To be honest I REALLY want to play the game from the bridge of my starship, ya know, like in STAR TREK!

And that really sucks if we can never have custom crews!

They could at least ensure that all Duty Officers are unique - I have several duplicates (colonists are worse), which totally destroys the immersion for me. How hard is it to generate a new random name?

The level rewards are levelled but I'm not sure if the enemies are - it's a bit too easy to kill everything (on Advanced difficulty). I doubt that I'm actually "good" lol.

Look for a "trait respec" was the first thing I did when I reactivated my account after it went F2P.

The Duty Officer missions definitely broke my levelling curve. I went from level 33 to level 50 ONLY by completing Doff. missions! As a result I missed out on a lot of loot and interesting content. I'm doing the episodes now but I'm kind of overpowered.

The Duty Officer mission is quite compelling but I think it still needs more. What I want most is Duty Officer Service Records that display aggregated statistics. Then I could see which Duty Officers I use the most, which assignments they completed/failed, etc.

That way I can learn which Doffs. I need more of and which ones I've never even used. There is already an assignment log so the stats are probably in the database somewhere.

It's this sense of entitlement that makes the majority of Eve players into narcissistic "sociopaths".

I disagree. I've had an active Eve account since 2007 but I let it expire last month. I finally had to admit to myself that the game sucked.

It's good that it's one world and not instanced - but that's about the only positive thing I can think of.

And the players are narcissistic egotists. The kind of conversations I used to see in the chat boxes (not local) were the worst I've ever seen anywhere.

I pretty much bought the original Xbox because of Halo. I was following the development for awhile (when it was only a PC game).

When Microsoft bought Bungie I knew I was going to have to buy an Xbox. Still the other launch games were pretty awesome - PGR, JSRF - happy days
