Preview: Crackdown 2 {Joystiq}
Sep 30th 2009 5:28PM I hope they allow the players to modify the attributes etc. Halo 3's custom game style.
For example, in a capture point/hostage/bomb gametype, the attacking team could have much higher agility + strenght, but the defending team would be excel in every other stat and have homing-missile launchers on top of that to take care of those pesky jumpers.
Viola, a gametype invented in 60 seconds that with a bit of tweaking could be something I'd keep playing for weeks. See how much potential the game suddenly has?
Elder Scrolls V not in the works, there's a 'chance' for Elder Scrolls MMO {Joystiq}
Aug 15th 2009 11:46AM Funny enough, the kind of freedom and half-immersion Fallout 3 and Oblivion gave me already made me feel like playing a bit of a single player MMO (killing Raiders and scavenging what largely consists of medpacks and ammo in order to kill Raiders in the next location and then scavenge their medpacks and ammo and or get powerful enough to raid Enclave to steal their 'better' medpacks and ammo, entire world being overcrowded with mobs out to get you giving you a far bigger repetitive-gameplay-to-story emphasis etc.) at times, so I figure the transition here feels sort of natural imho, or at least far more fitting than the KOTOR > TOR MMO jump.
On the other hand, this is BETHESDA and they're pretty much on the opposite side to Valve on the Scale of Game Polishing, which is why I wouldn't trust a company that is now famous for creating rushed buggy games that often appear to have skipped the Q&A testing and require the community to spend two years creating their own bug-fixes, to be taking care of the genre that's essentially the 'Murphy's Law' of video gaming.

43 million killed: Battlefield 1943's Coral Sea unlocked on Xbox {Joystiq}
Jul 15th 2009 4:52AM Well, TF2 happens to be the only resource intensive Source game as many complaints on Steam forums prove. My PC's alright except that it happens to have a shitty Pentium D and TF2 is very CPU intensive to the point where clocking it 0.5ghz gave me extra 30-40fps.
But now the fucker sorta broke down and overheats so I'm back to shitty default clocks and 10-20fps.
