Ougon no Kizuna's smaller quests

Nov 12th 2008 6:38AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Out of all the wii games i've seen/heard/read about this one has so far peaked my interest the most. It was described as a "Colossus" like game and that was one of my favorite games of all time. I really hope this isn't just another awesome looking game that i'll never get to play. There are way too many of those.

Revolutionary: Gun Sights

metroit prime 3 does not have zapper compatibility. And with as many functions as there are on the conduit, i highly doubt it will have compatability either. I did try just using the zapper in metroid though, just too many buttons you need to hit on the top of the wiimote

Come to think of it, why isn't there a calibration for your wiimote on the wii menu? That seems like a no brainer.

You know, i was overwhelmingly happy when i bought the zapper with link cross bow training because at the title screen there was a menu for horizontal and vertical calibration. I, however, was overwhelmingly disappointed when i found out not every game would have such a feature leaving the cross hairs a good 1 to 1.5 inches away from where i was aiming. I'm very dissapointed that what, in my opinon, is the coolest perephrial nintendo could have come up with is still no where near it's potential. A FPS with zapper compatibility, with a x/y calibration menu, that didn't suck would sell like crazy. I have a feeling i'm going to be waiting quite a while for something like that though... sad face.

seems to me wii fanboy owes belgium an apology. Can't blame them that much though. Hasn't really been alot of exciting news to report in the realm of the wii. Hope more publishers like sega decide to end this trend.

you know, now that i know Disaster is pretty much just another boring on rails shooter, i don't even really care about it anymore. sigh, such dissapointment.

It's sad, but nintendo if america has reduced me to this. I don't care if the game is crap, i'd still buy it. Know why? Wii have no games. (did you see what i did there? clever huh.) This game would be one of the only ones with at least a teen rating that is original (as in not a movie port i.e. godfather, scarface,) The wii has been out for a damn long time in the gaming world and what does it have to show for it's older more violence-craving fans/wii owners? It's like when we look at a wii nowadays it just has a big sign around it's neck that says "ha ha i fooled you, go buy another system. I've already taken your money!". I counted the other day and there are like 15-20 games that i want to at least play, possibly own. The catch? 10-15 of them are either not out yet or not localized and possibly never will be. There is so much potential here but this generation of games is possibly about a third of the way over and nintendo is taking way too long on making this the landmark system that i could be. Come to think of it this has kinda become their trend huh? Make and awesome system with great ideas and simply not produce enough quality games for gamers. Frankly i'm tired of having "fun"... i want to be moved, i want to be inspired, i want a good game. Just to be clear real quick there were at least 3 games that i thought had valueable content (story, intensity) but 3 games to two years is just not a good ratio. There already 3 games coming out in the first 3 months of 2009 that i'm sure i'll really enjoy, but we need more of that. We need to stop getting dick around by N.O.A. and Nintendo in general. They need to remember that their fanbase grew out of diapers and into gun holsters, and if they don't do anything about it more and more of us will be forced to grow into systems with more accomidating software selections. Damn that was alot of writing. I didn't used to rant this much. I hope that's out of my system for a little longer this time.

Wii Warm Up: Holiday wishes

Oct 17th 2008 8:22AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
My biggest wish is actually rygar. I never new the original exsisted since i came late to the ps2 scene and i'm glad. The original looked ok, but i'm so glad my first experience is going to be this one with the new character style. The potential of this game alone already has me hoping there is a sequel. Other than that rock band two would be cool. As to the other point, i do really hope to get a ps3 kinda soon so i can play silent hill 5. I think thats my all time favorite franshise right now. I know it got mediocre reviews. bit i just don't see how i could go from loving every silent hill to hating this one. Speaking of survival games and wishing, the one thing the wii definately doesn't have and doesn't look to have soon is an awesome 1st person shooter/horror game, like dead space or doom 3. i want to blast some scary sh*t in a 1st person view, and i don't want to be on rails damnit! Huh, seems i have alot of pent up frustration for the wii right now, oh well. Might as well add i wish for an original badass 1st person shooter that uses the nunchuck/zapper combo. It's so much more immersive to point at the screen and fire when your holding a gun. But rails are so limiting. I tried using the zapper in metroid after using the alt config, but there was to much to do with the buttons.
ok, i'm done, i swear. That's my wish list. Most of which i know a won't get. Now that that's all out of me, i'll talk to you guys in six months :)
