Well then you are in luck. I think I am going to see at least 1000 more comments about PS3 needing a disc for Netflix before October arrives and so does Netflix App.

So just hold on for few more months, cause I promise that before October ends you shall see Netflix app at PSN Store for FREE.

Netflix Watch Instantly title search flips on for all PS3 users

Actually no, because to maintain such a large database of movies would require SERVERS, LOTS of SERVERS, and those cost lots of MONEY. Also sending large amounts of data costs too, Netflix is growing their business steadily, increasing their selection and so far so good.

@not that geeky

I don't think so, Microsoft is making money one way or another, so they will offer you new hard drive for ridiculous amount of $$$.

That is why you can't use old hard drive with new Xbox 360 Slim. Not enough they didn't make Drive Swapping easy like Sony did with PS3 Slim, they are overcharging users crazy amount of money.

I wish some company could create a Hard Drive replacement for Xbox and charge half what M$ does.

Hulu Plus on PS3, hands-on (update: video)

Jul 14th 2010 7:57PM (Engadget)
Most of people that are commenting on this have no idea what they are talking about.

1. You do not need PSN+ for Hulu +, only for PREVIEW period you need PSN+
2. So point 1 takes me to point 2, it will only cost you $9.99 and if they add enough content you can kiss your cable goodbye
3. So point 2 takes me to point 3, oh I didn't know you get your cable for FREE, oops wait you actually have to pay them well then why not GET HULU+ on PS3 once Preview period is over and you don't need PSN+ and when HULU has more content.

EPIC WIN, love it, like it, will get it if they add more content.

P.S. Sure Netflix is great and I would know it since I do have it, but it is not free and it doesn't have latest Episodes for latest shows.

Hulu Plus launches on PS3, exclusive to Sony's console through 2010

Good News for you, In November you will be able to ditch Netflix DVD and get an app for PS3 - you ask why, how would I know this - and I know this because Microsoft Paid Netflix $20 Million for exclusivity for 2 years.

Netflix is circumventing that agreement using DVD on PS3 and Wii.

I don't know why, people do not do their research, I have to post this comment almost every other week.

Hulu Plus will be a downloadable app on PS3, require PlayStation Plus subscription?

@MrAkash

I disagree, while PSN+ is a new service, I like the idea of Free Games, Avatars, Themes, Beta Game Access, Early Demos, 1 hour trial of full games, automatic software update downloads. I paid $49.99 for ability to do all those things or access all those features for next 15 months. In my opinion I received $25 worth of content 1st day and will get more each and every month.

There is no question if PSN+ is worth $50 because it is for ME, I do understand that not everyone feels the same. People that play less games, or don't use their PS3 as much may not agree with me and I respect that.

Currently I am not sold on Hulu+ but I am watching current development of this topic, let's see where it takes us and if Hulu+ starts to offer more shows especially ones I like to watch it may become something I am interested in, who knows maybe Netflix will be able to add some of Hulu's content and that will solve my problem because I already have Netflix subscription.

Bottom line is that PSN+ and Live are 2 different services at this moment. PSN+ enhances current PSN offering and gives me access to more content, while Live is a must for any on line action.

PlayStation Plus coming via PS3 firmware 3.40 (update: now available)

I don't know how many times do I need to post this but here we go again.

Netflix App is coming in November 2010 (Microsoft paid Netflix 20 Million Dollars for 2 year exclusive) so you will be able to toss that Netflix DVD and use app.

This has nothing to do with Sony, Netflix has a contract and they can't break it. Tell all your friends.

I think this update is great. I am definitely getting PSN+ and if you get 1 year subscription you will receive 3 months extra for free, that is total of 15 months. Features are worth it no question about it.

And Cross Game Chat will probably come before the end of this year too, they also need to add new browser, there were talks about adding firefox so let's hope we will see all of it in November.
