FreeStyleGames talks about the highs and lows behind DJ Hero

Aug 28th 2010 5:02AM (Joystiq)
Fantastic work on the first game, I'm a little disappointed in the DLC support and track list for DJ Hero 2 (seriously you chose one of the worst Daft Punk songs Human After All as the ONLY Daft Punk song for DJ Hero 2....)

How disc swapping works in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for Xbox 360

Aug 26th 2010 9:27PM (Joystiq)
@arrrgh its totally worse that an actual disc. I hated having to reinstall each chapter. Especially now that I have a 500gb hdd in my ps3, I would love a patch that let me install all the chapters. I want to play MGS4 again but those loading times were soo lame.

Civilization 5 will convert Civ 4 maps automatically

Jun 25th 2010 10:50AM (Joystiq)
@Draco

id say it would deduce which squares could be "sacrificed" and made into portions of two hexagons, or they could just increase the size of maps and make every current square a hexagon and fill in the empty spaces with more heaxagons until the map is filled, or better yet program a test case in civ 4 that analyzes distance in moves between all majors squares and then automatically build the civ 5 mapped based on civ 4 data and try to get as close to number of moves as possible.

Rayman Origins in development from Michel Ancel, is 2D and beautiful

Jun 14th 2010 9:52PM (Joystiq)
hmm while rayman 1 was fun, rayman 2 was one of the best 3d platformers around and Id love to see rayman in that enviroment again. Then again we dont get many solid 2d platformers now a days so maybe its good thing.

Review: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

@Alexisonfire

i agree, get rid of the scoring system. make people read your intelligent reviews not scroll to the bottom look at a number and bitch about it all day.

Welcome to the latest Joystiq (we call it 'Futurestiq')

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Remove the scoring system, I read joystiq reviews because they refused to score games now you've sunk so low just to get on metacritic? But then again keep your scoring system, it will just make my journalism website seem that much more fresh when it goes live later this year.
