Forgetting Shoryuken. That's part. TWO as in Dreamcast TWO of the strategy.

Doesn't help when it's all P2P. If it was server based then yes it would help. On P2P? Nope. You only go as fast as the HOSTS connection allows you to which is only a paltry 1-2 MBPS at most and that's assuming the game would let you hog all of their bandwidth.

Are they going to make the trophies insanely stupidly hard to get? That's going to be pretty fun when the trophy whores come a knockin.

how about fixing Hakan? He's too weak as it is and his grabs take way too long. Also his oil was originally supposed to make him unthrowable. They need to put that in there.

Because they're Duking this game up. Constantly making noise and not actually giving us a release date. That leaves a bad flavor in my mouth. I expect these shenanigans from Duke Nukem Forever, but not from a game that was already released on the Sexbox.

Not to sound like a jerk, but does anyone really care anymore? They delayed this game so long that unless it has so much new content and is bursting with new stuff, this game will sadly go under the radar on PSN. Wasn't this supposed to come out sometime last year too?

Crytek boss: free game demos 'prohibitively expensive'

Apr 17th 2010 5:54PM (Joystiq)
I actually LIKED Shareware. You honestly believe you're getting a GOOD deal with Demos right now? They're like 10-20 minutes of gameplay. A Shareware piece was hours for the game. And Shareware was only paid for at RETAIL. You could either pay ten bucks to get a disc, manual and cover art at the store and it had about 10-20% of the game. OR you could download it for FREE "Though it took hours or days back then" to get the file. I like the concept of shareware because it gave a bigger view of the entire game rather then a quick brief view of the game. Shareware as a concept was far better then demos are as of right now. With Shareware you could actually see what the game offered. With Demos you play 10-20 minutes and you don't honestly have a good grasp of the game.

Shareware is how I bought Duke Nukem 3d and Quake and Blood. Enjoyed them so much that I bought the real versions because of them.

Crytek boss: free game demos 'prohibitively expensive'

They did this in the past. It was called SHAREWARE. Instead of 10 minutes of gameplay it gave 1/4th of the game. A quarter of the levels, most of the weapons, a good amount of the enemies, the multiplayer with some of the levels though not full multiplayer capabilities and the ability to share this with friends. If that's what Crytek is doing, I'm all for it as long as it's ten dollars or under and with the amount of stuff that I listed.
