I know people have their opinions and not every Gamestop is the same but come'on! You have to be a complete idiot to allow them to sell you an open copy for the "new" price. I have never bought a new copy of any game that didn't come with all it's security tape and plastic wrapping. It's your own fault for supporting that practice.

So is complaining about DLC cards for used copies. 90% of the time they are already used and it should be expected that it wouldn't work, if it's even in the case at all.

Of course this is coming from a guy who has never had a problem with Gamestop.

Whoever said MW2 on veteran was the hardest CoD is a liar. MW2 is by far the easiest, taking only 10 hours max to beat. I played the demo to L4D2, and what I saw did not warrant a rent, sad to say not even the hard drive space it took to download it. The graphics were exactly like the original, the characters were not interesting in the least, and it felt like I was "skating" across the map.
The worst thing I found however, was that if I aimed at a zombies head ( and I had multiple times to do this while they stood still....looking at me), and moved the cursor about an inch to the left or right, I would still get a headshot. No Thanks, poorly developed indeed. Oh yeah, I was smart enough to make sure no one else shot at him either.
Borderlands was great, havent played it since I 1000/1000 on the first week though, waiting for DLC. Also, I bought MW2 for the story ( which was great) and once I get the 1000 in that I will trade it in for my $40 and get Dragon Age or NSMBWii.

I don't get it, the game had good graphics, good controls, the story was fine...I don't know, I thought it was a good game. The controls were awkard at first, but five minutes later it was a snap. The only complaint I had about the game was the Airship level on hard and that level with the Rings which I can't remember what they did.

The MSRP is nothing more than what the manufacturer has put into it. The parts and labor used to make their product. Any business that purchases said product, always add a little to the price so they can make a profit. Hasn't this always been the way? I know retailers like Walmart all add an extra 15 - 30% in their price. Do all items sell above their MSRP? No, but most do. That's why if you buy wholesale instead of retail, it's cheaper. This is in no way just Gamestop's doing. Everyone needs to stop jumping on the GS hate bandwagon, it's getting old and ridiculous.

Also, GS has never wronged me in any way. Yes, I agree with the FTC investigation but seriously, why would you by a new game without the plastic on it? Are you stupid? Or how about looking for the quality seals that show if the case has been tampered with? Look at the product you want to buy before you pay for it.

Feba, your absolutely correct. As a Wii owner and a 360 owner, the Wii is ( as are all Nintendo consoles) the only system where I already know what I want. Whether 1st or 3rd party games, when I hear about a new title, I do some research and can determine then whether I'll like it or not.

As for the 360, I use Gamefly. I don't rent games from Gamefly for gamerscore, I rent to try the game out. I'm not paying $60 for a game I can beat in 4 hours or games that my friends hype that ultimately suck ( GTA IV, Halo 3, Too Human, Unreal Tournament 3, Timeshift, L4D....). So when my friends are complaining about wasting money, I just have to put it back in my mailbox. The only thing I'm out of is a monthly fee.

I really don't know what you guys are complaining about. I've never bought a new game from them that was open, they are always sealed in plastic. Any game I bought ( new or used), and didn't like, I took back within a week and got a full refund.

Also, the discount card adds up, I've saved alot with it. Last time I went to Gamestop I traded in 5 games and got $120 store credit. yeah, that's the equivalent of 2 new games minus tax but think about it for a minute, you wouldn't buy a game from a friend for anywhere near the new price would you? no, and neither would your friend. But, you would try and sell it on ebay or to a stranger for close to the new price wouldn't you?

I was getting rid of my 40gig PS3, I told a friend I'd give it to him for $150, he said $100. I called Gamestop, they said $200. Before I walked into the store, a guy bought it off me with no games for $350...I paid $400 for it originally.

wow, all of those games sucked. that's why the studios closed or are in financial trouble. None of those deserves a sequel. The only game worth playing on the Xbox for more than 10 minutes was Halo:CE. All the other good stuff was on the Gamecube ( or occasionally the PS2)

I've had RB2 since day one and have been happy with it. I went out yesterday and bought GHWT and I have to say it is the first game I will have ever taken back to gamestop within the 7-day period because it feels like a big step down from RB in every way. Also, the music creator that was hyped so much, sucks. The only problem I have with RB2 is the 4-5 songs I like that are only on GH ( for now anyway).
