I am shocked that a game like Shadows of the Damned does not sell well WHEN THERE IS ZERO MARKETING FOR IT! Way to go, EA. It's a great game. I bought it, played the hell out of it, and loved every throbbing inch of it.

@Punisher M1911 I have really fond memories of playing Duke Nukem 3D with my brother back in the day. I can only imagine how much time, talent, and money was wasted bringing what seems to be, according to reviews, an outdated and mediocre game to market. My memories of Duke Nuke 3D, though, are not enough to make this game palatable after all this time.

This game is such a joke. I'll never understand why Pitchford wasted Gearbox's time bringing this back from the dead. I feel like, for the most part, reviews of this game are inconsequential. I'm sure a lot of people who buy it will do so out of morbid curiosity and for the fact that this game represents such a long-standing meme in the industry. For me, however, I appreciate the review and I'm certainly not surprised to hear it wasn't very good. Clearly there was something amiss within 3D Realms when they couldn't ship a game like this.

@F1shBone That makes no sense but considering so many professional writers use Macs I think they might be good computers to get some work (not gaming) done. Continue with your hatred of a company's products though if that makes you happy. You know they're just computers, right?

I've seen some inventive and wonderfully creative ideas on Kickstarter. This is not one of them.

I wonder what happens if you have an HDD crash or need to do a clean install of the OS. I'm willing to be the guinea pig on this though, I'll just be sure to have plenty of backups in place if it all comes crumbling down around me. Heck, I'm still not 100% sure my Macbook (2007) will even be supported. I've heard it will be though.

This idea seems crazy but I can't help thinking my niece who loves Nickelodeon and baseball will play this non-stop.

Just thinking about the music, video, gaming, photo, and text files just sitting on this ticking time-bomb of a computer-- I shudder just imagining the day I befall a backup tragedy. Really hope I win this!
