I agree. Dating and activities are a chore... once you've done it once its boring the next few dozen times...

It looked great already, and I've got enough to keep me going until then! So I'm fine to wait.

GRID demo goes platinum; game to follow?

May 26th 2008 6:21AM (Joystiq Xbox)
Yeah I have it pre-ordered. And about DIRT? Well of course it didn't break a million in the US - Europe was the primary target for DIRT! - Rallying is a Europe thing!
This time around it tries to create a balance for European and American gamers, and it's looking good so far! The graphics and damage realism is particularly good - best I've seen yet.

GRID vs Gran Turismo 5: Prologue

May 14th 2008 12:09PM (Joystiq Xbox)
So, what you're saying is that adult games should be boring simulations and children's games should be action-packed and fun?

But if Gran Turismo was a true 'Simulator', then realistic crash damage would have to be a feature as well.

No matter who is playing, these so-called simulators like Gran Turismo and Forza are boring. Forza has fantastic looking cars, but other than that it involves racing around the same, dull tracks over and over again.

That's why I enjoy games like Colin McRae DIRT, GRID and Project Gotham Racing - they have a more balanced mix of realism, simulation and fun.

I've just read two comment pages and there's been at least two or three people on each page complaining about broken 360's - have MS still not sorted it yet?

Bizarre ends their PGR4 support, no more DLC

May 8th 2008 3:05PM (Joystiq Xbox)
People are obsessed with PGR2! PGR4 is better in every aspect! Your expectations have obviously shot through the roof when PGR3 and 4 came out, and looks like you were disappointed.
Plus, PGR2 does not even work properly on 360, despite the fact that it it supposed to be backwards compatible!

That's like, one in every sixtieth person you meet in the UK is an owner of GTA - that's a lot!
