WiFiFoFum (or similar apps) are essential for getting the wlan on a channel without major interference. Simple stuff.

why would the quality degrade? it's trancoding!

digital is not automagically better than analog for video signals, it depends on many variables (mostly interference and the quality of adc/dacs used in the display and source).

you do realise that native and scaled 1080p isn't that different; it's just texture sizes. i'm also curious, how big your screen is for you to see the difference between 720p and 1080p.

my projector (optoma) is pointed at 106" screen, and from about 10' i see no difference. i can't even tell a difference from as far away as i can get (about 16').

1080p is something like 2MP. film is much much higher res.

rfom, the xbox team and the windows team are drastically different in age, approach to their product and general quality.

x360 rocks, vista is uh .. well a bloated xp with crap piled on top to make it somewhat of an osx competitor.

the cd that comes with the hddvd drive has windows drivers on it. this was news back when the drive came out. laggy site.

hdmi cables are cheap at monoprice.com, good quality too.

the only difference between hddvd and bluray is the distance the laser spaces the data. same codecs. same quality.
