By the time something along these lines comes out from Nokia the iPhone will have been updated - whether with software updates or a complete refresh. They'll already be behind.
It's just a shame that the phone really does not live up to the specs then isn't it? I've had mine for a few months here in the UK and cannot wait for the iPhone to come out so I can replace it.
GPS is great but destroys battery life. The software is traditional symbian, which isn't bad - but feels slow and archaic when changing applications. The camera takes decent pics but is slow to use, and the camcorder on mine often crashes when saving videos (despite having the latest software using software updater).
It's about time Nokia learnt that there's more to making a great phone than just sticking the highest specced components you can find into a case.
"Enough with the iPhone already. I really don't care who is gonna carry the service overseas...."
Well Mike - some of us reading this blog *are* overseas - and I certainly care about who's going to be bringing the iPhone to the UK.
The iPhone is a huge deal for Apple - hence the reporting of it here on the blog. Got some better Apple news to report? I'm sure they'd appreciate you sending them some tips.
"can we stop with iphone this, iphone that for a few days... get over it!"
I love all these comments saying this - the blog is called 'The Unofficial Apple Weblog'. The iPhone is the most talked about Apple product of recent times. Really - what are you expecting? I'd suggest that you stop reading the blog if it bothers you that much.

Rumor: iPhones in the UK
Jul 10th 2007 10:31AM (TUAW.com)Either way - o2 would be an interesting choice, and I can't see o2 providing an EDGE network *just* for iPhone, nor can I see Apple relying on GPRS.
