At this stage in my life, I have vastly more disposable income than I have time to play games. High, high quality games like HL2, Z:TP, and NSMB will take the majority of my playtime.
This is due not to being rich or anything -- I just can only spare at best 2 hours a day to play games anymore.
The only thing GF and GH have in common is a plastic guitar.
Different music genres, button numbers, HOPOs, star power, etc...
The gameplay on the games is even different. GF is really arcadey in that it requires a lot of jack-hammer-like note streams, wihle GH is more like playing a guitar.
I agree. This is the kind of mod I would do (and may do) to a real Wiimote, but I'd never destroy a collectible like this. I just ordered a TV Wiimote a few days ago too.
Now, one thing I do plan on doing is modding a virtual console controller to play SNES games. That baby looks comfortable!
How absolutely bizarre. I'm currently grinding through Purdue University's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a few days ago I was musing about the digital versus analog world (effectively computer versus electrical engineering, digital versus analog circuits).
And interestingly enough, Digital Killed the Analog Star popped into my mind. Hm. I need to study less.
Saying it's a gamecube is only architecture-based. It's obviously more powerful.
Analogous to my current bleeding edge PC. It's not a PC 360, a PC7, or anything. It's a PC, same as the last one I had 5 years ago. The software than ran on PCs 5 years ago still run on modern hardware. This is the same as Wii. GC games run on Wii, Wii games don't run on GC. Just like bleeding edge PC games wouldn't run on my last PC 5 years ago.
DDR is not techno, techno, techno. That would be In The Groove. You can make the argument that DDR is j-pop and maybe some random trance, but what you're really meaning to critique are American DDR releases, which are crappy pop covers.
How much is an hour of gaming worth?
