Hudson: 'Your feedback has always mattered' in Mass Effect 3, even now

Mar 18th 2012 4:07PM (Joystiq)
I called it. They pretty much ARE working to do something about the ending now. Although, from the sounds of it, I may have put too much confidence in them knowing how this would play out.

However, the final lines in the missive prove me right:

"We look forward to your continued support and involvement as we work together to shape the remaining experiences in the story of the Mass Effect trilogy."

I prophesied that, perhaps with all of this verbal feedback, they could use some of what fans are blathering about, and turn that into something better, a more fitting end.

So stop complaining, BUT keep talking. You want your endings? Have a good idea of what you want, and head over to their forums.

Mass Effect 3 director defends DLC, endings with 'common sense'

@devwild
Exactly.

Thinking about it now, if I'm correct...

This will be an interesting completion to a trilogy.

Mass Effect 3 director defends DLC, endings with 'common sense'

You guys ever think that the current endings were meant to be this way?

To make you think? To make you react, to call bull, to demand a better ending? Or even to see what the hell happens right at that point, to make a judgement of it all?

Or perhaps that, yes, this is a complete d*** move, but made in order to get a rise out of the fans? One of Casey's latest tweet was a, "Thank you for all the feedback, keep it coming."

They're getting us to talk about it, demand a real ending, detail about what we would like to see. They've said they wanted fans to help write the story, maybe they've decided that this would make a great reaction, test our limits with the series.

Still, if that were the case, kind of annoying that they didn't put a definite, well written end to the series on the disc, but using that turmoil to generate fan ideals... I think it could work. Still a d*** move, but... could work.

Your Mass Effect 3 PC pre-order lets you pre-load the game now

@Draugdraugr
I believe the constant connection is required for just the multiplayer, and only a one time activation for the single-player. So I don't think I'm entirely screwed in that manner.

Well I'm waiting on my physical copy. This is just one of those games I want to relish having in my hands.

Yes I mean PC version. People are so excited about digital downloads and what have you, but I'd really want to hold the disc in my hands.

That and the physical goodies, and not wanting my game suddenly unavailable to me via some technical goof.

Mass Effect 3 Vault comes with DLC too

@PbFarmer I have to agree with the four chaps above me. I like to think of these DLC cards not as the prize, but as the bonus, the little "thank you" from Bioware. "We appreciate your business, have something a little extra for that game you like."

PSA: Mass Effect 3 demo drops today

Lies, It's out on PC now as well. I've also seen the button for the PS3.

In any case, a new reason to have to watch TWD.

I may have to draw a quick rabid creature to send to random people.
A slavering, wild-eyed beast.

The Joystiq Show - Star Wars: The Old Republic roundtable

Yeah, the reason everyone calls it swotor is because in the olden days, Knights of the Old Republic was Kotor.

Strange transcendental reasoning, but it's still gravy.

SWTOR: So you want to play a Smuggler

Dec 14th 2011 4:49PM (Massively)
Yeah, I went and played Smuggler, Knight, Warrior, and Bounty Hunter, just to get a feel of the different playstyles and stories. In the end, the Smuggler wound up as my favorite, and I managed to race around Coruscant and reclaim my ship at level... let's say 17.

I'm dying to see what happens next, and where else I can go.
