New ad campaign attempts to discourage use of 'gay' as disparagement

Aug 14th 2009 9:04PM (Joystiq)
Yea, such this has basically nothing to do with gaming at all.
They just post stuff like this to create controversy so they can get more pagehits.

Hear Hear. Freedom of speech

The whole thing is patently ridiculous, whats next 'language police' who fine you for swearing?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but:
This game is good enough to warrant me finding a NDS emulator for my PC to play it.

Next thing you know and the pedophiles will take offense about the word 'pedo' being used disparagingly.

Politcal correctness gone overboard again.

I say they should just start calling themselves something else, like how 'retard' was used before as a perfectly acceptable term for the intellectually challenged.

Lionhead Studios graphic designer sues Microsoft for harassment

Mar 25th 2009 6:34PM (Joystiq)
Here, here Diskoboy7 is right.

It's reverse discrimination, we didn't know what he did. He could have been a jerk and was asking for it. He's probably just out to make a quick buck.

People need to grow up and not act like sissies and go run and complain everytime someone calls them names (seriously this guy got depressed cause someone said 'ladies are bad'?)

Haha, so the guy found a way to screw MS out of a load of money.

Being a minority and playing victim is a great way to nab an early retirement.

This is America after all, the litigation nation, why work, when you can sue?

Consumerist: Self-identified lesbian banned from Xbox Live [update]

She probably only identified herself as gay to cause controversy anyway.

Like a troll on a forum, baiting others into a response.

It's like saying on your gamertag that you are a neo-nazi or KKK member.

SO some lesbian gets banned and this makes big news?

Why does it matter, who cares if everyone else is happy. She probably wasn't good anyway and trashtalked a lot (or annoyed people)

People don't get banned/harassed for nothing.

PlayStation press release breaks down the real price of consoles

Jan 7th 2009 11:01PM (Joystiq Playstation)
And Live is better that's why it costs more. MS hosts servers, instead of leaving it up to publishers and gamers to do so. There's also much more (and higher quality) content available.

Anyone who has tried to play Tekken DR online would know how frustrating PSN can be, or had to retry multiple times to connect to a Battlefield Bad Company demo server.

And Live is not that expensive, when you compare it to people who pay $150 a year for WoW.
