We Dare Aussie rating under review

Jun 16th 2011 1:23AM (Joystiq)
Australian gaming TV show Good Game reviewed the game only a few days ago, and showed that if anything, the game is significantly less raunchy than the hype. The review is available for streaming on their website right now for those who haven't seen the game. It's really quite tame.

Exclusive Pokewalker path available as Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver DLC

Apr 2nd 2010 9:27PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
A little late guys, we've known about this one for a while now. ;p

Given that the route has been made available twice so far in Japan, it's likely that they'll give it a return run for international markets as well sometime later in the year.

Nintendo shuts down fan-made Pokemon MMO

Apr 2nd 2010 9:23PM (Joystiq)
It's due to things like this that the biggest sites in the Pokémon fandom have been aggressive in *not* supporting such fan projects. It's one thing to make a Pokémon fan game in an genre that isn't competing with the main series games, but any Pokémon RPG is doomed to fail. This is far from the first to be send a C&D (that was POL back in 2000!), and we're sure it won't be the last, if only because people still continue to refuse to listen and take heed of the history in the fandom.

Nintendo opens new studio helmed by Sakurai

Feb 18th 2009 11:04AM (Joystiq)
Sora the company was established in 2005. Sora the project may be something totally new.

*insert here unwarranted speculation that this could be Pilotwings Wii, based on Sora being Japanese for Sky*

Many servers not yet up after all

Was able to login several times to Emerald Dream, but each time was stuck on the loading screen and had to Alt+F4 out. Now, I can't even authenticate.

Nintendo DSi vs. PSP-3000 vs. iPod Touch, v1.0

Oct 2nd 2008 11:35AM (Joystiq)
Nintendo's published a few things about the DSi on their site, for anyone who can read Japanese.
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/corporate/release/2008/081002.html

The measurements for the DSi are
Width 137.0mm
Height 74.9mm
Thickness 18.9mm
Weight 214g (with DS card inserted)

For comparison, a DS Lite is 133x73.9x21.5 and 218g with DS card and GBA cart inserted.

One area that will suffer is battery. At the highest brightness setting for the screen, the battery will last 3~4 hours, compared to 5~8 on the Lite. At the lowest settings, it's 9~14 compared to 15~19.

Breakfast Topic: Daily chores

I've been doing the SSO ones like a mad idiot recently, simply due to having taken a 3 week break from the game recently, and finding myself well behind the curve on rep.

Blizzard tells Oceanic realms they're fixing it

...I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage. Who are you, Bayard? ^^;;

Blizzard tells Oceanic realms they're fixing it

Apr 13th 2008 6:58PM (WoW)
It's worth noting that this background process isn't just impacting the Oceanic realms too. I play on Emerald Dream (which, as there's never been any Oceanic RP-PvP realms, has been the unofficial Oceanic one for ages), and I've experienced the same lag issues during my regular time (10pm-2am weekdays, Australian Eastern Standard) since 2.4, in addition to graphics issues that were never a problem before the patch.
