Pokemon struggles on Wii
Dec 27th 2006 9:13PM (Joystiq)And since when did coming in at number ten on Japanese weekly console software sales list denote a failure? Check the list out for a second:
December 11 - 17, 2006
1. 123,573 - Pokémon Diamond (DS)
2. 97,409 - Pokémon Pearl (DS)
3. 92,173 - Kirby Squeak Squad (DS)
4. 88,242 - Mysterious Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer (DS)
5. 77,761 - New Super Mario Bros. (DS)
6. 72,841 - Oshare Majo Love and Berry (DS)
7. 71,339 - Jump Ultimate Stars (DS)
8. 70,476 - Wild Arms 5 (PS2)
9. 69,923 - Wii Sports (Wii)
10. 67,607 - Pokemon Battle Revolution (Wii)
Where are the PS3 and Xbox 360 games this week? Oh there were only three of them that were in the top fifty:
35. MotorStorm (PS3)
46. Blue Dragon (X360)
49. Ridge Racer 7 (PS3)
I could've sworn I saw a post saying that Xbox 360 was going to be huge since Blue Dragon came in at number four last week. And now it's almost dropped off the list entirely. Where's the '360 Takes a Tumble' post?
Joystiq should just report the complete weekly console software sales and let the numbers speak for themselves.
